What's a Retriever?

Hello adoring fans, Waffle here! It's been a fairly uneventful week for me... just hanging around the house and doing what greyhounds do.... napping and getting lovins and napping....did I say napping twice? Well, I have learned that napping is very important in the retired life so I'm getting lots of practice. Foster mom said I was having a "bed fail" but I really was comfy so I'm not sure what she means by that....

Another time I tried napping with my foster brother, Havok. He isn't a big fan of sharing his sleeping spot but who can resist a pretty face like mine? I just wanted to learn from a pro, doesn't he recognize a compliment when he's given one?



Oh well, I know I'm loved and how to appreciate it, here's the smile I gave foster dad for scratching my neck. I just love having my neck scratched!

Have I mentioned what a super soft coat I have? If you want to give me neck scratches you can feel for yourself. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge!)

Now I have a question for you all--- what is a "RETRIEVER"? My foster kid tossed one of the toys the other day and I chased after it. That was so much fun I brought it back so we could do that again. Foster mom laughed and asked me if I thought I was a retriever but I'm not sure what that means?? I hope it means a really cute fun girl, cause I'm all cute and fun!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!!

They say girls just want to have fun, well this girl sure does! Waffle here, to share a little bit of the fun I've been having. Yesterday was howl-a-ween, or something like that, all I know is foster mom gave us all dinner a little earlier than usual then she set up a little pen in the front yard and me and my foster brother and sister got to go out there. Sitting in a pen didn't sound like much fun at first but then all these kids started coming and saying "trick or treat!" and a lot of them also said "aww, look at the doggies." That second line was my favorite because it was usually followed by them coming to pet us and rub our ears and tell us how cute we all were! My foster brother, Havok, looked really silly but foster mom said I didn't have to dress up, I just wore a bandana that says "adopt me!" Here we are waiting for more kids to come love on us!!

 

This morning was even more fun, foster mom loaded all us greyhounds in the car and drove out to this neat place with a big fenced in yard where we could run and play. The best part was right after we got there some more people came with their greyhounds and they started running with us and then more people and more greyhounds and more people and more greyhounds.... it was GREYT!!! Foster mom said that's what we call a play date. I think I like play dates even better than field trips!
